3 arrested for distributing money during UP panchayat polls

Three persons, including the husband of a candidate for pradhan's post, were arrested on charges of distributing money during the ongoing panchayat elections in Pipra Kala village under Narhi police station area here.
Police yesterday arrested the trio and recovered Rs 49,800 in cash from their possession, Superintendent of Police Anis Ansari said.

Meanwhile, a Bengaluru report said a police team has been deputed to take Reddy into custody and interrogate him further in connection with his involvement in the ATM case.
"One Madhukar Reddy arrested by Chittoor Police has indicated his involvement in ATM case. Our team has been dispatched to interrogate," Bengaluru Police Commissioner Pravin Sood said in a tweet.

Sood said the police would take him into custody to investigate further.
