Farukh and Sabir were arrested this morning near Shahzadpur village on the charges of bootlegging and 835 bottles of smuggled liquor were seized from them after a search operation, said Ummed Singh Yadav, SHO of Muradnagar police station.
Also, two knives were recovered from their possession and their vehicle was seized, he said.
In another incident, one Kushmesh was arrested and 236 bottles of liquor was seized from his car which was being smuggled from Haryana to UP during a routine cheque at Kavi Nagar area last night, police said today.
