3 bootleggers arrested

Three alleged bootleggers were arrested and large quantity of illicit liquor was seized from their possession in two separate incidents in Jammu and Kathua districts today.
Parmjeet Singh and Omkar were arrested from Satwari area of Jammu and 24 pouches and 20 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from their possession, a police spokesman said.
In another incident, Saran Singh was arrested in Kathua and 118 pouches of illicit liquor were seized from his possession, he said.
They were booked under various sections of the Excise Act, he added.
