The residential-cum-commercial building located at Subash Path station was identified under 'dangerous' category and all occupants were evacuated and shops on the ground floor were sealed by a team of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) officials on November 22, 2016, a Thane Nagar police station officer said.
However, seal on three shops were found broken during an inspection on December 20, the officer said.
Based on the complaint lodged by TMC officials yesterday, three persons, who owned business establishments in the building, were booked under house-trespass charge.
The case has been booked under IPC section 448 (house trespass) and relevant sections of Maharashtra Police Rules- 1951 and no arrest has been made so far, police added.
