3 children killed in fire

Three children died in a house fire in Tilderi village at Sikandrabad Tehsil here, a fire department official said today.
Sushant(8) and Aashi(6) died on the spot while Naitak(4) was declared brought dead by doctors at a hospital here, district Fire Safety Officer Pratap Singh said, adding the fire-broke last night when the children where sleeping.
The victim's father Devendra, a farm labourer, was only able rescue Naitak along with villagers, he said.
He had got the house under Lohia Aawas Yojna and had finished its construction recently, the officer said.
Devendra was nearby inspecting a under-construction building at the village when the fire broke out, he added.
