3 CISF jawans injured after lightning strikes them in Thane

Three jawans of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were injured, one of them seriously, after lightning struck them at Lokmanyanagar firing range in neighbouring Thane district, police said.
The jawans, who are residents of Kalina in Santacruz, were at the shooting range for practice when the incident took place at around 2.40 pm, the official said.
They have been identified as Mohammad Iqbal (32), Kaal Jyotinath (28) and Mukesh Kumar (28), he said.
The jawans were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment where the condition of Mohammad Iqbal is stated to be serious, the official added.
