3 construction workers killed in mishap

Three construction workers died here after being crushed under a truck when they were sleeping on the pavement in the wee hours today, police said.
Chandreshwar, Umesh Yadav and Maneesh were killed after being crushed under the truck, while a fourth worker was grievously injured, police said.
The truck has been seized and the driver is absconding, they said.
The workers had fallen asleep on the roadside, waiting for some construction material to arrive, they said, adding that when the truck with the material arrived, it ran over them.
The injured worker has been admitted to government hospital here, they said.

Meanwhile, Om Prakash has lodged a complaint with police that a speeding truck yesterday hit a car, killing his 18-year-old relative on the spot.
In a separate incident, Dayaram has lodged a police complaint stating that a tractor had hit his relative, killing him, police said.
