The SUV was on its way to Raghunathpur from Purulia town and it collided head on with a truck loaded with coal coming from Durgapur to Purulia on SH-30 at around noon, police said, adding three passengers of the SUV died on the spot.
Six others who were also riding in the SUV have been admitted to Purulia Sadar Hospital where the condition of three have been stated to be critical, they said.
