The first incident took place in south Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur where a fire broke out in a commercial establishment around 1 AM.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, a call was received around 1.10 AM and four fire engines were rushed to the spot.
"The fire was at second and third floor of the building. We managed to douse the fire within 40 minutes," a fire department official said.
He said "three persons were present inside the building but two managed to come out soon after the blaze" and the body of a 52-year-old man was recovered from the third floor.

The second incident was reported when an Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus caught fire near Sarai Kale Khan bus stand around 8.40 AM.
The driver noticed smoke coming out from the engine and passengers immediately got down from the bus.
The officials said two fire tenders engines were rushed to the spot at Sarai Kale Khan and it took them around two hours to completely control the blaze.
The bus was coming from UP and going towards Rewari in Haryana and the vehicle was charred.
