Three men have been arrested for allegedly duping job aspirants on the pretext of getting them employed in Delhi Metro and Airport after posting fake job advertisements online, police said today.
Amit Chauhan (21), Prashant Chauhan (24) and Rinku Kumar (25) were arrested by the police on Saturday from Greater Kailash market after a complaint was filed against them by one Ashok Kumar Gupta whom they duped of Rs 80,000, said a senior police official.
The trio posted fake job advertisements on popular online job portals and, once contacted by the aspirants, they charged fee from their clients and provided them fake appointment letters, he said.
The money was either wired through fake bank accounts or was paid in hand. Afterwards, all contacts with the aspirants were discontinued.
One Jugal Kishore, who allegedly provided them fake ids for procuring mobile SIM cards is still at large.
The aspirants were usually promised jobs in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and India Gandhi International Airport, police said.
