Acting on a tip-off, Surinder Singh and Raju Sheikh were arrested and 87 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from them in two different places in Chenani area of Udhampur district yesterday, they said.
In another incident yesterday, Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Doda, was arrested from Nehru Market area in Jammu district and 50 pouches and six bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession, police said.
All the accused have been booked under relevant sections of Excise Act and investigation was underway, they added.
