A clash between two student groups near a premier coaching institute in Kota city of Rajasthan left two teenagers and a security guard injured on Tuesday, police said.
Piyush Dhanawat (17) and Ashish (18) were allegedly attacked by five-six motorcycle-borne youths with knives outside the gate of the Resonance coaching centre in Vigyan Nagar at around 4 pm. A security guard, Mahindra Singh, was also injured when he tried to intervene, a police officer said.
Piyush sustained injuries on the back, while Ashish suffered minor injury. The two, both students of the Resonance institute, are undergoing treatment at a hospital, the officer said.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, but primary investigation revealed that Ashish apparently had a heated argument with one of the accused, the officer said.
The accused, all minors and hailing from Bihar, have been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. No one has been detained or arrested yet, police said.
Police have not ruled out the role of the Bihar Tiger Force(BTF), allegedly formed in Kota by coaching students from Bihar and has been active for quite some time, an officer said.
