An ABVP supporter sustained injuries by a sharp weapon in the clash with TMCP members at Falakata college in Alipurduar district, police said.
The ABVP has alleged that TMCP members attacked them to prevent them from filing nominations for the college union election scheduled on January 20.
When contacted, TMCP denied its involvement and blamed ABVP instead.
In another incident in Darjeeling district, the police said, two students from SFI were injured in a clash with TMCP in Siliguri College allegedly over submission of nomination papers for the college's union election also on January 20.

In a third clash between SFI and TMCP at Naxalbari college also in the district police burst three teargas shells to control the situation arising out of another clash between the two sides.
However, none was injured in this incident, police said.
The SFI has alleged that TMCP members attacked them while its supporters were filing nominations for the college union election, TMCP denied any involvement in this incident too and said it was the other union which had attacked it.
The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment, police added.
