At least three persons, including a woman, were killed and 14 others injured, when a passenger vehicle carrying them overturned in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Monday, police said.
The accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle lost control of it at a sharp bend and overturned near Pangam, said Inspector in-charge of Mathili police station John Kujur.
Three persons died on the spot while the 14 injured persons were taken to the Community Health Centre at Mathili.
Some of the injured were later shifted to the district headquarters hospital at Malkangiri, where the condition of four was sated to be serious, Kujur said.
The victims were proceeding from Siraguda to attend a function at Mathili.
