A mother-son duo were among the three persons killed when they were run over by a state-run bus in western Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district this evening, police said.
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus was going from Badaun to Delhi. The three were reaching towards their motorcycle after visiting a temple on the Badaun-Agra road when the incident happened, a police official said.
"The deceased have been identified as Devendra (25), his mother Krishna Devi (56) and his maternal aunt, Kaila Devi (50). All them died on the spot," said Jitendra Kumar Srivastava, superintendent of police (city).
The bus and its driver have been detained and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
