Three persons, including a minor, were killed and five others injured on Tuesday when a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) carrying them collided head-on with a truck in Bihar's Nawada district, a police officer said.
The incident happened on NH 31 near Madhavbigaha village under the jurisdiction of Mufassil police station when the MUV was on its way to Ahiyapur from Rajauli in Nawada district, the police officer said, adding, the MUV was carrying a marriage party.
All the deceased were killed on the spot, the police officer said.
They have been identified as 10-year-old Sonu Kumar, 50-year-old Reshmi Devi and 55-year-old Sohanlal Khatri, the Sub-Inspector of Mufassil police station, Kamal Deo Prasad, said.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, he said.
All the five injured were admitted to Nawada Sadar Hospital, the police officer said.
