3 men flee with safe containing over Rs 3 lakh from courier company's office

Three men allegedly fled with a safe containing over Rs three lakh after threatening the supervisor of courier company at gunpoint, the police said today.

Deepak, the supervisor of Ecom Courier company, told the police that he got couriers loaded in two vans around 6.30 am yesterday, they said.

After the vans left, three men came to the office in a white car bearing Haryana registration number, they added.

They threatened him at gunpoint and fled with the safe containing Rs three to four lakh. They also took the digital video recorder of the CCTV cameras, the police said.

The cash comprised earnings from Saturday and Sunday and it was supposed to be deposited in the bank on Monday.

Police said they had ascertained the ownership of the vehicle and raids were being conducted in Faridabad and Ballabhgarh to nab the accused.

A few suspects are being questioned about their involvement, they said.
