Additional Sessions Judge Naresh Kumar Malhotra relied upon the testimonies of victims Bilkish and her son Ismail which the prosecution was unable to counter by any means.
"The testimonies of the motherandson regarding the incident of being injured byalltheaccused persons are not shattered in any manner," the judge said.
The court jailed Delhi residents Mithai Lal, his brother Kuldeep Prasad and a relative Lala, and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on each of them.
"The defence witness (accused' relative) had given a complaint on May 24, 2011 and in this complaint, she has stated that Ismile had slapped her, but in the deposition before the court, she deposed that he burnt her face with a cigarette," the judge observed while noting that she did not intimate the police on the same day of the alleged incident.

This led to a heated argument which, according to the prosecution, ended up in Lal inflicting knife wound on Ismile and the other accused beating him up and his mother. A complaint was lodged against the accused in March 2011.
The accused pleaded innocence and claimed trial during which the defence counsel argued that the present case is to counter the molestation complaint registered against Ismile.
