3 minor girls sexually assaulted in city

Three minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted in different localities in the city, police said here today.
A 35-year-old man allegedly tried to rape two minor daughters of his tenant, aged two and four years, but ran away after their mother rushed to the spot hearing the girls cry in Keedganj area yesterday, they said.
An FIR was lodged in this connection and the accused landlord was arrested, they said adding that the girls have bite marks all over their bodies and they have been referred to a hospital for treatment.
In another incident reported from Jhusi, on the outskirts of the city, a 10-year-old girl sustained grievous injuries following a sexual assault allegedly by her paternal uncle late last night, police said.

The girl was rushed to a hospital where her condition was said to be critical, they said.
An FIR was lodged and the victim's uncle, who was in an inebriated condition, was arrested, they said.
