With action against the Deputy Tahsildar, a Revenue Inspector and a Village Administrative Officer, the total number of officials suspended in connection with the scandal had risen to six, District Collector S Sundaravadivelou told PTI here today.
They have been suspended for allegedly issuing 'fake residence' certificates to three students to join professional colleges under government quota during the current academic year although they hailed from other states.
