3 policemen injured in scuffle in Pb

Three policemen were injured during a scuffle near here between police and a group of miscreants including a proclaimed offender, who allegedly set a building on fire and vandalised a police van today.
The incident took place near Nangal village under the Payal Police Station in this district after the proclaimed offender, identified as Gama, along with his accomplices allegedly attacked a police party late this evening.
Police said a building nearby was set on fire and a police van was damaged during the scuffle.
Stones were also pelted on them, they said.
When the police party raided a dera, a group of Gama's supporters attacked the police, an the proclaimed offender, who was with the police, managed to escape, police said.
SHO Inderjit Singh said a manhunt has been launched by the police to nab the miscreants including the PO.
DIG Ludhiana Police Range S K Kalia said additional force have been rushed to the spot.
He said situation was tense but fully under control.
