Three prisoners were today injured in an attack by another inmate, who went "berserk" after an argument inside Bhilwara jail.
Jail staff faced a hard time in controlling Deepak who was lodged in the jail yesterday after a scuffle, an official said.
"The accused today caught a cat that used to roam inside jail premises and threw her on the ground. Other prisoners objected and scolded him after which he got agitated and thrashed 3-4 prisoners," Suman, Deputy Superintendent of the Jail, told PTI.
He was overpowered later.
The officer said that the incident left three prisoners with fractured bones.
