3 Raj govt employees arrested for bribery

In separate raids conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), three state government employees were today arrested for allegedly accepting bribes at different places in the state, an official spokesman said here.
A senior clerk Patram and Supervisor Sahib Ram posted at 'Krishi Upaj Mandi', Pilibanga in Hanumangarh district, were caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a client to waive the "mandi fee" in connection with an agro industry, the spokesman said.
The duo had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the client.
In another raid, village accountant Sanjay Baya posted at Savina in Udaipur district was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a client for opening an account under his name.
The accused had already taken Rs 1000 in advance from the client.
Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act were lodged against them, the spokesman said.
