3 sewer men choke to death in Faridabad

Three sewer men choked to death in a sewerage treatment plant in sector 31 here due to poisonous gases while carrying out a cleaning operation.
Sewer men Rahul, Atar Singh and Santosh died yesterday while carrying out cleaning at the plant.
The families of the deceased and the members of the union today held a protest in front of the Faridabad Municipal Corporation office.
Corporator Sonal Goyal announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the kin. A job has also been promised for a family member each of the three deceased.
