Police said, the scuffle broke out over filing of papers for the December 22 student body election in the college.
The three injured had to be hospitalised.
The ABVP alleged that the Trinamool student union members suddenly started beating up their members but the TMCP on the other hand alleged that ABVP was trying to instigate students disturbances.
The college authorities did not comment on the issue.
The situation was peaceful now, police said.
