Three youths hailing from Jharkhand were arrested here today for allegedly stealing high-end mobile phones from Delhi Metro commuters, police said.
Sixty-eight mobile phones have been recovered from them.
Gautam Kumar (19), Vikram Mehto (20) and Babloo Sharma (26) were apprehended from Anand Vihar Metro Station after a tip-off that a gang of mobile thieves will leave for Jharkhand from there.
"They used to come to Delhi along with two-three minors periodically. During their stay, they pickpocket mobile phones in crowded markets and metro trains. After collecting 50 to 100 mobile phones, they go back to Jharkhand for their disposal," a police official said.
