Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Pooran Chand released the women on the period already undergone in prison in the case in 2013, noting that they were first-time offenders and their families would be "ruined" if they were jailed again.
"Plea of guilt recorded. In view of the plea of guilt of accused persons Ruksana, Kamini and Sunita are convicted for offence under section 454 (lurking house-trespass), 511 (attempt to commit an offence), 34 (common intention) IPC," the court said.
"Accused persons are first (time) offenders. All accused persons are female having minor children and are labourers, if sentenced behind bars, then not only the accused persons will suffer, their family will also (be) ruined. From the record it is clear that all the three accused persons already remained in judicial custody for a period of about 20 days...
"In my considered view, interest of justice will suitably be served, if all the three accused persons sentenced to period already undergone," the magistrate said.
They were caught and an FIR was registered against them by the police.
At the time of framing of charges, the women pleaded guilty to the offences.
