3 women held for looting cosmetics

Three women who allegedly robbed a hawker selling cosmetics items have been arrested within hours after they picked up cosmetics and snatched Rs 1,500 from the victim near Azadpur Metro station, police said today.
The accused Pooja, Neetu and Pooja (II) alongwith another woman, had looted cosmetics from Amrinder who was selling the items on a push cart yesterday. "They also took out Rs 1,500 from his pocket and fled away," said Vijay Singh, DCP of North West Delhi.
On the complaint of Amrinder, a case was registered at Model Town police station.
The policemen acted swiftly and started looking out for the women. They were spotted near Model Town II opposite Chattarshall Stadium and were identified by Amrinder who was accompanying police, he said.

Three women were detained while one managed to escape. The detained women were in inebriated condition, police said.
They were sent to Nari Niketan and efforts were on to catch their absconding accomplice, he added.
