In a reply to a query from Tamradhwaj Sahu (Congress), Water Resources Minister Ramvichar Netam said 30 industries owe Rs 39,601.36 lakh of water tax to the state.
Efforts are being made to recover the dues from the industries, which include private as well as government corporate entities, he said.
Some of these entities are Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd, SKS Ispat and Power Ltd, Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd.
