Senthil was attacked near Madakudi bridge by Raja, a history-sheeter, and two others and he died on the spot, sources said.
The reason for the murder is previous enmity over some money transactions, police said, adding that Senthil had lodged a complaint a fortnight ago that Raja was threatening him.
