313 FIRs against political parties for violating model code

In the run up to the Delhi polls, maximum 90 FIRs have been registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) out of total 313 registered against political parties for violations under Model Code of Conduct till today.
After AAP, 68 FIRs were registered against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 59 against Congress and 23 against Bhujan Samaj Party (BSP) while the remaining cases were registered against other political outfits.
The EC has also registered FIRs against printing presses for not publishing the names and addresses of organisations under the Representation of People Act and other related acts.
A total of 7,708 persons are booked against whom preventive action taken under various sections of CrPC and Delhi Police Act, while 920 licensed arms are deposited while three arms impounded.
A total of 131 persons are bound down under section 107/116 of CrPC and Delhi Police Act while 222 non-bailable warrants have been executed, of which six were executed yesterday, a senior official said.
"The execution of non-bailable warrants is very important step because by that those elements which affect law and order are caught," said Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Dev.

The EC has also seized liquor in large quantity.
So far 87 litre of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) including 776 full bottles have been seized. Likewise, 1,226.7 litre of country liquor including1 have been seized.
The EC has so far received 2,908 complaints of violation of MCC. Taking action against defacement of property, the EC has so far removed 5,418 hoardings from public property till date, out of which 69 were removed yesterday while a total of 228 FIR's are lodged for defacement.
A total of 2,739 hoardings were removed from private properties, of which 36 hoardings were removed yesterday. Seventy-two FIR's are lodged for defacement of Private Property.
Out of a total of 2,162 complaints received in CEO headquarter, district control rooms and online, 2,075 complaints have been disposed and remaining 87 complaints are in process for disposal. Of these complaints, 1,173 were received online.
