Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and SSB have seized 32 kg charas from a village in Bihar's West Champaran district, official sources said today.
Acting on a specific input about smuggling of contraband substances from Nepal, the DRI and SSB teams raided Purania village last night and recovered the haul of contraband substances contained in 28 packets which the smugglers had brought from the neighbouring country, the sources said.
The seized substance was valued at Rs 30 lakh in international market, they said.
The smugglers managed to give the security agencies a slip by escaping back to Nepal under the cover of darkness, the sources said.
