33 grams heroin, 1 quintal cannabis seized

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials seized 33 grams of heroin and one quintal of cannabis and arrested four women with possesion of the contraband, officials said today.
The heroin worth around Rs 1.50 lakh in the international market was seized in Mizoram-Myanmar border town of Champhai last evening and a woman arrested in this connection, the department officials said.
Whereas, the cannabis was seized from two different places in Aizawl city last evening and three women were arrested for possessing it.
The four accused were booked under several sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
