33 teachers honoured by Haryana govt on Teachers' Day

Over 30 teachers were honoured today by the state government for their outstanding contribution in education sector on Teachers' Day celebrations held at the Raj Bhawan here today.
Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda honoured the 33 teachers on the occasion which marks the birth anniversary of former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
While paying rich tribute to the former President, Solanki said that India would definitely lead the world in the 21st century as our youth are capable of bringing this change.
He said Haryana has made unprecedented progress not only in education sector but in several other fields during the last few years.
He described physical resources and human resources as the two important elements of any country.
However, he said that human resources is the most important one as development of any country depends primarily on this resource.

He said teachers should shoulder the responsibility of showing the right path to students only then we would be able to best utilise our physical resources.
He said India is only country in the world that has a rich and prosperous culture and history.
Speaking on the occasion, Hooda said that 21st century is the knowledge century where those society, state and nation would progress that would lead in education sector.
He said the state government has strengthened the educational infrastructure all across the state.
"We consider outlay in education sector as investment rather than expenditure so that our future generation could get best education and become capable to build a prosperous society", he added.
Congratulating the teachers on the occasion, Hooda said that Haryana Government is "developing the state as an education hub of international standard".
He urged the teachers to provide best education to students so as to ensure bright future of the state and country.
