34-yr-old woman raped, family robbed of Rs 10,000

A 34-year-old woman was allegedly raped by five persons who also robbed her family of Rs 10,000 in cash and other valuables in Vaishali Nagar area here.
The incident took place last night when the accused entered the house after removing window grills and held the family hostage, DCP Kailash Bishnoi said.
The woman alleged that she was raped whereas her husband and father-in-law were injured with iron rods, he said, adding, the duo was admitted to SMS hospital.
Two minor children were also present in the house when the incident occurred.
The accused took away Rs 10,000 in cash, ornaments and other valuables.

A few suspected persons have been rounded up for questioning, police said.
A case in relevant sections has been registered with Vaishali nagar police station.
