35-year-old shot dead after tiff with friend

A 35-year-old man was today shot dead allegedly by a friend following a tiff between them at the victim's residence in Swami Para area here, police said.
The incident happened when Tarun Sharma, the son a criminal lawyer, was shot dead by his friend Lavindra after a fight erupted between them here in the morning, Superintendent of Police (City) Om Prakash said.
Victim's other three friends - Nikhil, Vishal and Atul - were also present when the accused took out his revolver to fire rounds at him.
Upon hearing the shots, the family members reached the ground floor where the men were sitting. All the friends, including Lavindra, fled from the house after the incident, police said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, the SP said adding a case against Lavindra has been registered and efforts are on to nab him.
Some people have been detained in this connection and are being questioned, Circle Officer Rupesh Singh said.
