A 35-year-old woman died after being hit by a tempo in north Delhi's Burari area, police said today.
The incident happened yesterday when Gudiya was returning after finishing her work, they said.
A man informed the police that a tempo, bearing a Haryana registration number hit the woman near Ibrahimpur bus stand around 7.45 PM. The woman was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The accused driver, Prem Chand, has been arrested.
"The stretch where the accident took place is quite dark and the driver couldn't see the woman," police said.
