Talking to reporters today, the organisers said that India's top players were expected to participate in the tournament alongside a contingent of overseas players from 12 European and Asian countries.
The Tamil Nadu Tennis Association will jointly organise the event.
Being an international ranking tournament with USD 10000 as prize money, it had attracted many youngsters, said Haresh Ramachandran, President and organising secretary R Subramanian.
Prominent players including Enrique Lopez-Perez (253 rank), Jeevan Nedunchezhian (321), N Sriram Balaji (383) and Ramkumar Ramanathan (416) are expected to participate in the competition.
