The three CPI(M) leaders injured in the clash, which took place last night, include CITU leader Subhas Mukherjee and former MLA Manas Mukherjee.
Senior party leader Nepal Deb Bhattacharya alleged that Trinamool workers had beaten up CPI(M) cadres and leaders.
Police said two members each of CPI(M) and Trinamool have been arrested in connection with the violence.
Those arrested include a Left councillor of the outgoing Kamarhatty municipality board. Two other persons were being interrogated in connection with the clash, police said.
Bhattacharya, CPI(M) district secretary, also said a 10-hour bandh has been called at Kamarhatti tomorrow.
Civic polls in Kamarhatty is scheduled on April 25.
