Four men, including the driver, were arrested for allegedly looting a truck carrying copper worth Rs 80 lakh, police said today.
The truck with goods was robbed at knife point by four armed robbers at Kirti Nagar on May 12.
The driver of the truck, Ram Raj, had alleged that he was hit on the head and abandoned in the forest area of Narela, the police said.
The truck was on its way to deliver the metal in Zakhira in Delhi.
It was found that the driver was involved in conspiring with three others, including his brother, in carrying out the robbery.
Raj's accomplices, identified as Manoj (25), Vishal (25) and Ajay (35), had even inflicted injuries on Raj's head.
The driver told police that he was not aware about where the truck had been taken.

Subsequently, the police tracked down the three accused in Sonipat and precious copper metal worth Rs 80 lakh was recovered, the police said.
The accused persons revealed that they used to hatch conspiracy along with the drivers of the trucks and took the truck along with the goods, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vijay Kumar said.
After a couple of days, they used to sell the goods at the best possible rates and abandon the truck.
