The accused, identified as Mohit, Mukesh, Palendra and Rajeev, all in the age group of 18-20, molested the two teenage girls yesterday near Radha Behari Inter College, DSP Atul Kumar Srivastava said.
The incident occurred when the girls were returning home after purchasing vegetables, he said.
"The youths beat the girls when they offered resistance and misbehaved with their parents when they came to their rescue," he added.
"As soon as the police reached the spot, the miscreants fled," the DSP said.
