Three men from China's Xiamen city and a woman from Fujian province were arrested today in raids on a rented warehouse and a house in northern San Fernando City.
Drug Enforcement Agency head Arturo Cacdac Jr says 185 kilograms (409 pounds) of crystal methamphetamine, known as "shabu," worth 925 million pesos (USD 21 million) were seized from the warehouse. Ten sacks with 25 kilograms (55 pounds) of ephedrine each were confiscated.
Cacdac said the inventory was not yet finished on the items seized in the house. Estimates of the value of the haul varied but were as high as 4 billion pesos (USD 91 million).
