The four officials from Yunnan province who were expelled are Xie Xinsong, vice mayor of Kunming, the provincial capital, Cai Jianghua, deputy head of the province's investment and cooperation bureau, Chu Zhongzhi, Party chief of Dali City and Li Xiaoming, former head of the provincial geological and mining bureau.
Xie, Cai and Chu were dismissed from their public posts, the Yunnan Provincial Discipline Commission of the party said.
The four were accused of accepting bribes to seek interests for others. Xie and Chu allegedly accepted more than 5 million yuan (USD 7.90 lakhs) and about 3.6 million yuan in bribes respectively.
Xi has expedited the the massive anti-corruption campaign since he took over his post in 2013 in which thousands of officials were punished including top officials like former national security chief, Zhou Yangkong and number of high level military officials.

Zhan Zaisheng, on a list of 100 most-wanted Chinese fugitives abroad released by China in April, was captured by Chinese police in Malaysia and was transferred back home during the National Day holiday, it said.
Zhan is thought to be the 13th on the list to be captured so far.
According to another report by China News Service, Zhan, a former banking official born in 1962, was found profiting from illegally raised funds involving more than 680 million yuan.
