4 CRPF personnel win medals for fighting LWE ultras

Four CRPF personnel of the 26th Battalion stationed at Bokaro district were among the medal winners for their valiant effort in fighting against Left Wing Extremists in the district.
The medal winners are Anil Kumar Singh (official) and constables Manoj Bisoyee, Sukesh Mahto and Pramod Kumar, according to a CRPF press release.
The personnel had been engaged in a night long gun battle with the Maoists at Jhumra hills in Bokaro on February 6 last year and gunned down a rebel and arrested a woman Maoist with weapons and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, the release said.
Congratulating the four personnel on winning the medals, Commandant of the Battalion Akhilesh Kumar Singh said the Battalion would always make efforts in maintaining peace in Bokaro, the release added.
