The race, to be hosted by Yamaha Motor group company P T Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, is an international one-make championship competition to crown the number one rider in the ASEAN region.
Launched in 2003, the Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race is an event that aims to promote the sporty image of the Yamaha brand throughout the ASEAN region.
Seventy-two riders from six participating nations -- Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia -- have been chosen via national qualifiers in their respective countries.
Living up to its commitment to provide an international racing platform to Indian racing enthusiasts, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd has chosen four top performing riders from the final round of National level R15 One Make Race Championship 2014 held recently at Madras Motor Race Track.

The R15 One Make Race Championship is an annual racing event organised by Yamaha since 2010. The event this year was organised in association with Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and is a part of Indian National Racing Championship 2014.
"This year we have identified the four best riders from our national level championship to participate in the 11th Yamaha ASEAN Cup race. We wish them all he best and expect their best performance on this platform," he said.
