4 injured as employees of transport companies clash

Four persons were injured when employees of two transport companies clashed in the district, police said today.
The clash took place last night and the four injured were admitted to local civil hospital.
About 40 to 50 employees, including drivers of Orbit transport company allegedly attacked employees of Puri transport company, sources said.
Puri's manager Charanjeet Singh, Baljeet Singh, Kulwinder Singh and Gurdeep Singh were injured in the clash.
Police have registered a case against six employees of Orbit company and 35 unidentified persons.
The clash erupted after the Orbit company allegedly started plying their buses without any time table causing loss to the other private operators, sources said.
Meanwhile, employees of some 10 private transport companies blocked road at Moga today demanding arrest of the accused in this case.
