Four persons were injured in a blast inside a scrap godown in Jorhat town in upper Assam Thursday evening, a police official said.
The cause of the explosion, which sounded like an improvised explosive device (IED) blast, was yet to ascertained, Jorhat Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Nimbalkar said.
The injured are the owner and three employees of the scrap godown located at Rajamaidam Path near Tocklai bridge.
All four were first taken to a private nursing home and then shifted to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital, Nimbalkar said.
