Four people, including a minor girl, were killed and 10 others seriously injured after a truck hit a small passenger vehicle on the Banda-Tanra road here, police said today.
The accident took place yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Badri Prasad (65), Ram Moorat (30) and Rajkaran (60). They died on the spot, Additional Superintendent of Police Lal Bharat Kumar Pal said.
The officer said that one Jyoti Narayan (17) succumbed to injuries at a hospital here.
Ten people suffered serious injuries and are being treated at the hospital, Pal said.
Police said the truck driver was arrested, and a case registered. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, they said.
