4 militants arrested in Manipur

Four militants including two girls belonging to different outlawed militant outfits were arrested by security forces from different places in Manipur, Assam Rifles said today.
Three hardcore members of outlawed militant outfit People Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) including two girls were arrested from Chalwa village of Manipur's Chandel district on November 2 last, said a press release issued by Assam Rifles.
Arrested militants were identified as Soibam Angou (18) of Yurembam Maning Leikai of Manipur's Imphal West district, KSH Manjuta alias Lalleima (18) of Sylhet and Phijam Nanao (16) of Wangjing Hidamba Awang Leikai of Thoubal district of Manipur, the release said.
Arrested militants were handed over to the Moreh police station in Chandel district, the release added.
In another operation, troops of Indian Army of Red Shield Division arrested a hard core member of outlawed militant outfit people Liberation Army (PLA) Thounaojam Dhameshore Singh alias Laingam (41) of Utlou Mayai Leikai of Manipur's Bishnupur district while conducting search operation at Zou Veng in Manikpur's Churachandpur district, a defence release said.
According to the arrested militant he joined PLA in September, 2009 and was trained at Nongket in Myanmar.
