Police sources said as five-six youths and a 65-year old woman were standing on the railway track when the UP Budge-Budge local suddenly appeared.
As they tried to move away, the down train also came on the next line and four of the victims did not have any chance to move away to safety at around 8:30 pm.
Train movement was disrupted for some time till the bodies were removed.
